Sports Events/Dates 2019 - 2020

Mr Gee
What a premature end to the term this has proven to be, but the sporting events that the children have done before the closure has been amazing and have lifted the spirits! Year 6 have been brilliant so far this year, hopefully this isn't the last we will see of them before the summer holidays!
On the 11th March, Mr Gee took 8 of our Year 1 and 2 children to a Sportshall Athletics tournament and we went and beat 4 other schools and brought back to school the victory! Our boys finished 1st, our girls finished 2nd and we came 1st out of 5 schools! Mr Gee makes sure that all sporting achievements are recognised and he gave the winning children a special Sportshall certificate! Here's to next year...
On the 12th March, our last sporting fixture for a while, Mr Gee took 12 girls to the second and final night of the Girls Football League. We lost 1 and won 2 and finished the league in 7th place out of 8 schools. Mr Gee thanks parents for their support regarding travel arrangements.
Whilst the school endures in this period of closure, on YouTube there is a sports coach called Joe Wicks who will be doing a 30 minute live stream every morning Monday-Friday to ensure that the children are still keeping active and partaking in some form of physical activity over the weeks to come. If you could support us with this venture, we would be very grateful.
Keep on sporting, and we hope to see you all very soon...that includes Year 6!
Keep safe and healthy!
