Mr Gee

Hi everybody,

Another year has come and gone like a flash. We say our goodbyes to our excellent Year 6's who will now embark on their next journey onto high school! Good luck to you all.

This term has been jam packed with lots to do for the pupils.  We have taken part in football matches, our Sports day at school, an evening at Town Sports at Congleton High and our Inclusive Sports morning, as well as plenty of days out and fun activities during the day! Where shall we start?

Back in May, we took 15 of our children to Congleton High to play in a CMAT football match against Black Firs; in which Black Firs ran out eventual 6-2 winners. Everybody that took part from both schools did really well and a big thank you to Mr Gee for ensuring the game ran smoothly.

We then played Woodcocks Well in a football game at Castle, in which we won 9-1 after a fantastic performance from both teams. A big thank you to everybody who was chosen to play and to Woodcocks Well for playing us, it was a great afternoon.

An Inclusive Sports morning followed in which Mrs Fish and Mr Gee put on a range of sporting activities for selected children in Years 3-5 to take part in. This included Tennis, Cricket, Football, Netball and Rounders. It was a really good morning and the children really enjoyed taking part. The weather was glorious throughout as well!

An evening at the Congleton Town Sports event followed in which Mrs Fish and Miss Mason chose children from Years 3-6 to take part. It was an athletics based event and we did really well as a guest school for the evening, picking up a 3rd place medal in the process! A big thank you to Miss Mason, Mrs Fish, Mr Gee and Mr Mason for helping the children at the event.

To finish the term off for sporting events, we held our annual Sports Day throughout the school, with Nursery/Reception starting us off in the morning and Years 1-6 in the afternoon. The weather stayed nice for the occasion and every single child that participated did really well and all the staff are proud of them all. A big thank you to all the parents who came and supported their children and to Mrs Fish and Mr Gee for the smooth running of Sports Day!

Thank you to all pupils and their parents who have supported us in PE and Sport this year, we couldn't have done it without you.

Keep on sporting!

Mrs Fish & Mr Gee
